About the Baka Tribe
Though they are a simple people, they have existed for many generations, Long before the white came and consumed the enviornment. They are skilled people. The Baka can hunt elephants with ease and have a great organized choirs without writing the music down on sheets. Culture is a must in their society, for it is so organized that if one does not cooperate the community will suffer. The pygmy Baka are also very protective of one another, such as the men get the honey and hunt, while the women take care of the children and construct the homes. The Baka are very proud and difficult to bargain with, because they do not talk to other tribes unless its for trade, they don't even take water from other tribes. The pygmies are also very independent, being able to make medicines from leaves or from scratch. The Baka are a great people that are in danger of being wiped out, and we must understand and do everything we can to save these proud people.
